چکیده

While significant progress has been achieved in the field of Li-garnet solid-state batteries, their further development, is hindered by formation cavities at Li7La3Zr2O12 (LLZO)/Li interface practically relevant current densities and areal capacities exceeding 1 mA cm−2 mAh cm−2. As a result, cells exhibit limited cycling stability due to inhomogeneous distribution applied density, therefore, Li dendrites. Another aspect high importance associated with development fabrication methodology thin LLZO electrolytes for achieving energy density batteries. To contribute these two challenging problems, this work, facile intermediate-stage sintering method 50-µm porous membranes mean pore size 2.5 µm presented. The employment such not only provides an effective means mitigating voids LLZO/Li increased surface area, but also maximizes achievable densities. It demonstrated that fabricated long over 1480 h 0.5

Poly(lactide-co-glycolide)/titania composite microsphere-sintered scaffolds for bone tissue engineering applications.

The objective of this study was to synthesize and characterize novel three-dimensional porous scaffolds made of poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA)/nano-TiO(2)-particle composite microspheres for potential bone repair applications. The introduction of TiO(2) component has been proven capable of largely enhancing mechanical properties of PLGA/TiO(2) microsphere-sintered scaffold ("PLGA/TiO(2)-S...

Liquid Phase Sintered Ceramic Bone Scaffolds by Combined Laser and Furnace

Fabrication of mechanically competent bioactive scaffolds is a great challenge in bone tissue engineering. In this paper, β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) scaffolds were successfully fabricated by selective laser sintering combined with furnace sintering. Bioglass 45S5 was introduced in the process as liquid phase in order to improve the mechanical and biological properties. The results showed th...

Correlation between properties and microstructure of laser sintered porous β-tricalcium phosphate bone scaffolds

A porous β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) bioceramic scaffold was successfully prepared with our homemade selective laser sintering system. Microstructure observation by a scanning electron microscope showed that the grains grew from 0.21 to 1.32 μm with the decrease of laser scanning speed from 250 to 50 mm min-1. The mechanical properties increased mainly due to the improved apparent density wh...
